Linden Langdon B.A., B.F.A.(Hons), M.F.A. is a Tasmanian artist specialising in printmaking. Her art includes traditional printmaking techniques of etching and lithograph, but expands into ceramics, painting, photography and mixed media. She has exhibited in Tasmania, Western Australia and internationally. In 2005 she was an invited speaker at the PICA Symposium in Perth where she discussed her Honours work.
Linden was born and raised on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and moved to Tasmania with her two eldest children in the late 1970′s. The contrasting climate and environment still provide exhilarating moments and inspiration for her artwork and much of it is involved with that sense of place and links to family. Change is the drive to create, and it is by revisiting the old that she finds motivation.
Her Master of Fine Arts work centred around the expression of emotional and physical trauma culminating in an examination exhibition of 84 prints and a large body of support work. She is an active member of the local, national and international printmaking communities.
